LDK Amberfield Retirement Village

Amberfield is a new community development for senior citizens in Canberra, built and managed by LDK Seniors’ Living. Located within easy reach of the capital city, the new retirement village has over 320 purpose-designed dwellings ranging from apartments to independent villas, with on-site amenities including a grocer, salon, barber, café, restaurant, bar, and health and exercise facilities.

Working with sales partner Luxygen, Thorlux Lighting Australasia supplied over eighty Brisa pole-mounted 3000K floodlights to illuminate paths, roadways and public spaces throughout the new village complex. The Australian-made, IP66-rated outdoor luminaires are fitted with a selection of optics to minimise or eliminate light spillage. Using a broad light distribution where appropriate has helped to reduce the number of luminaire installations required, increasing energy efficiency and keeping a spacious feel.

BSE created the external lighting design, and MDE Electrical completed the installation. With the new village now welcoming residents, Thorlux is proud that Brisa forms part of this community's fabric.
